The Accommodation . . . .

the Layon Valley from one of our guest roomsThere are two properties on the site. The larger of the two is “La Grande Perriére” a ‘maison d’maitre’ or gentleman’s  residence, dating  from the late 1800’s .

Comprehensively  upgraded  and  modernised it now consists of a fully equipped  kitchen including things like a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, ample cutlery  and cooking utensils.  Off the kitchen is a boiler room containing  the washing machine and fuel central heating system.  Also on  the ground floor is a large lounge  with a huge open fireplace (wood  can be supplied) and exposed  beams.  The dining-room is very large and features exposed  beams and  an enormous table that can  seat up to 12 adults. Off  the dining room is  the entrance  hall and toilet.

“La Petite Perriére”

Sleeps 6 in 3 Bedrooms.

Totally  modernised, but  was originally  the old wine chais, dating back to the days when every farm reared cattle, pigs, sheep and  produced their own wines.

The single storey  property  consists of three double bedrooms, a separate toilet and a further toilet and shower room.  There is a new fully equipped kitchen/diner with microwave, fridge gas cooker, washing machine, plus  full gas central heating.

The lounge is pleasantly appointed off the kitchen/diner.  Below are the old wine caves and at the side are the old stone-built pigsties, (now disused, I hasten to add)

The swimming pool

Outside, there is an inviting pool where you may cool off and enjoy a Sundowner or two on the surrounding patio area.

Both properties have their own digital TV with all the terrestrial French stations plus all the numerous channels carried by the BBC free to air service.  Cots and high chairs are available if  required
